An extensive interview with Dr. Agnieszka Syntfeld-Każuch, Director of the NCBJ Nuclear Techniques & Equipment Department, came out in the “The Polish Science Voice” supplement to the May issue of the “The Warsaw Voice” magazine. Innovative equipment currently under development in NCBJ within the AiD project was the interview main subject. The equipment includes accelerators for medical radiotherapy and devices developed to scan hazardous materials at border checkpoints.

In a six-page long article entitled “Kill cancer, find explosives, catch a smuggler” Dr. Agnieszka Syntfeld-Każuch presented objectives of the AiD (Accelerators and Detectors) project, characterized design goals set for engineers, and pointed out possible applications of the equipment.
