The AiD Project helps to attain objectives set in the 1st priority axis of the IE OP:

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES

The Project is compatible with the following IE OP Detailed Objectives:

Detailed Objective 2: IMPROVEMENT OF COMPETITIVENESS OF POLISH SCIENCE

The Project is to strengthen Polish science. Successful accomplishment of the Project should improve Polish science competitiveness by providing adequate research infrastructure on one hand, as well as by concentrating resources/efforts/financial means on priority research topics from the country socio-economic development point of view. Science competitiveness is understood as a capability to solve research problems at a level deemed by international community of scientists as high, as well as a capability to deliver solutions that are applicable in economic practice.

Detailed Objective 3: STRENGTHENING OF THE ROLE OF SCIENCE IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Project should increase the share of innovative products delivered by the Polish economy by means of increasing the number of successfully commercialized results of R&D works. Innovative commercialization of the results will increase knowledge-based economic potential.

Detailed Objective 5: CREATION OF PERMANENT AND BETTER WORKPLACES

Successful accomplishment of the Project should:

  • increase demand for HiTech workplaces that require advanced knowledge/skills
  • develop the R&D sector in Poland
  • help to close the technology gap between the Polish economy and the most innovative economies in the world, including some European Union countries.

Research planned to be done within the Project framework is mostly of application nature. It will be oriented at immediate practical deployment of results in several business sectors that may be characterized as particularly sensitive from socio-economic point of view.

The Project is closely related to the following thematic groups:

  • Techno group: Design of dedicated systems
  • Bio group: Technological advances in medicine & environment protection, new medical products/techniques
